Mid Morning Walk...

This morning I decided I would go for a 5 mile walk and take the camera with me...It finally cleared off this morning after being rainy and chilly for the last 4-5 days.  As soon as I reached the canal near my home I spotted the mama and baby turtle and got a quick shot of them before the mama dove into the water.

 

As I continued my walk, I decided to walk all the way down the main street in town instead of cutting through and going back streets.  I found these peony's that are due to bloom soon.

I made it to my destination in about 1 hour, took care of my errand and headed back.  On my way back I noticed that the corn is doing well and should be higher than at least my knees by the 4th of July. 

 

Hoping the corn does better this year than last...for all of our sakes...I think people forget how important the Farmers are to this country...farming isn't an easy life, it's a hard living but a good living.  My grandparents were farmers for their whole lives...
